WVU Industrial Assessment Center

The WVU Industrial Assessment Center is one of 26 centers around the country, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy to provide no-cost assessments to small and mid-sized manufacturers. A team of students and professors conducts a one-day site visit and performs evaluates how each facility utilizes energy and resources. Then, they conduct an assessment to identify opportunities to save energy, reduce waste, and improve productivity.  These assessments help maximize energy efficiency, reduce waste and improve productivity. A report detailing the analysis, findings and recommendations is sent to the client.  The total recommended energy savings to date of the WVU IAC are 2,794,141 MMBTU with actual implementation savings of 1,132,983 MMBTU.
