Industrial Gas Utilization Center
The Industrial Gas Utilization Center will identify energy efficiency opportunities and link companies with appropriate resources including Industrial Technology Program BestPractices, Software Tools, Technical Briefs, energy management case studies, technology providers including ITP Allied Partners, and results from plant-wide energy assessments. Specific activities will include: (1) Provide initial assessments of energy savings opportunities; (2) Track cutting-edge technologies for improving the energy and environmental performance of energy intensive industries, and identify opportunities in WV for their application; (3) Assist with technology implementation by using return on investment calculations to show potential long-term cost savings, and identifying and pursuing co-funding opportunities; (4) Provide outreach through workshops, direct contact with energy consuming companies, and cooperation with industry associations such as the WV Manufacturers Association, the Chemical Alliance Zone and the WV Coal Association to reach smaller operations.
